Climate Change 101.

http://webpages.csus.edu/~mnm77/
We all know that global warming is bad, but not all of us know how bad the impacts are. First of all, let's start off with why it is occurring and work our way to why we should care. Global warming is occurring due to the thickening layer of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The normal function of the greenhouse gases is to maintain enough heat within Earth to sustain the biosphere. However, as the constantly-thickening layer traps more and more incoming solar radiation than reflecting it out to space, it is causing serious troubles-- no more of the former benefit. Unfortunately, humans are responsible for the accelerated warming in concern. Industrial, agricultural, and urban development during the past history has mounted to contribute in massive CO2 emission boost and lowered albedo, which means more solar radiation is absorbed than reflected. This positive feedback is only bringing worse consequences.

  1. HC, I think your blog might be served by combining climate change 101 with II. Background. If your topic is regarding forests I think it needs to be mentioned right away. I like your original figure a lot. There were several small grammar issues throughout, perhaps having a friend read through to correct would be beneficial.
